Join us for virtual drinks and discussion on the highs and lows of retail marketing during the 2020 holiday season.
On December 10, Simon Data is bringing together retail marketing leaders for a unique opportunity to connect with other retail marketers who have been in your shoes and understand the unique challenges you’re facing this holiday season.
Think of this as a mid-peak season therapy session: we’ll provide drinks via Drizly. Over the course of 90 minutes, we’ll reflect on what we’ve learned this year, exchange war stories, and, of course, celebrate what’s gone well during the holiday season and over the course of this challenging year. All you have to do is show up, and be willing to listen and share.
Who: You, Matt Butlien (SVP of Growth at Simon Data), and up to 15 senior marketing leaders in retail and ecommerce.
What: A private, small-group discussion around
- Challenges you’re facing and new customer trends you’re seeing this Holiday season, particularly as it relates to COVID-19.
- Technology, strategy, or process pitfalls. This is a safe space — rants are welcome and encouraged.
- Success stories coming off of Black Friday and Cyber Monday.
When: Thursday, December 10, 2020, 4:30–6 pm EST/1:30–3:00 pm PST.

Meet Your Moderator
Thursday’s discussion will be moderated by Matt Butlein, SVP of Growth at Simon Data, and a tried and true veteran of the retail industry.
Previously, Matt was the Chief Growth Officer at Nuts.com where he was responsible for helping a 90-year-old business pivot to a broader growth play in the online grocery space. Prior to that, he was CEO of Freshpair, an online retailer of men’s and women’s intimates that sold hundreds of thousands of SKUs.
With high SKU counts and heterogeneous customers, Matt is an expert in the challenges retail marketers face during peak season and related to data-driven marketing automation and multichannel marketing, in general.
